You absolutely go to counseling without him.

And I agree it totally sounds like he is having an affair, even if it just emotional right now, which is highly doubtful (I think) for a man.

Start reading Michelle's books. I got mine at Hastings in the Relationships section. To me, Divorce Busting was the best. Don't let him see it.
