Sorry Jon, you know I love you, but those are bad. The only way they would work is if you REALLY played off how cheesy they are with a big grin. But even then it's a very slim chance.
I prefer, "Hi, I'm X. You have a great smile and look like a fun/interesting person so I wanted to meet you." That would hook me.
