Why can't she get over the hurt and anger and we can start to enjoy our lives.
It takes time and space. In your situation I'm am at a loss with the financial stuff. I think I may help her with the mattress but buy them for her not just give her money, that way you have a say in the price.
Also I'm not sure if you've brought this up in the custody issue but have you thought about doing every other weekend for a while at least? IMO both parents need to have weekend time with the kids.
