But what is going on with your sitch? Any news on settlement offer from H or what your lawyer thinks about the spousal support issue?

Still dark with H? What about S12? How has he been handling time with his dad and OW?

It's fine if you don't want to talk about it. Just wanted you to know that I'm not completely wrapped up in my own sitch and am interested in what's going on with you.

STBXH (still have to get used to typing THAT out) was waiting for our tax money to come back to pay the lawyer to make the changes and whatnot..I got the money to him just this past Tuesday, so I'd be surprised if I heard anything back before next week. But, if I don't hear back by when he's picking up S12 next Wed, I will text him and find out. Last we talked about it, he said he would get me the info ASAP once he was paying the lawyer..so hopefully..

Still dark with hub, I haven't seen or talked to him I think since I got back from Amy's..I haven't been here when he's picked up S12 or brought him back..only texted with him a few times and/or emailed..last texting was like Sat and it was kinda random where he was like "have a good day and whatever"..but that was it LOL.

Well S12 hasn't had time with OW yet, it's totally my call and I am waiting a bit longer for that..I dunno when, if EVER, I will feel great about it, but I know the time is coming soon. As far as time with his dad, he really enjoys that..so I'm glad about that

Pearl..I love you for asking about it, esp with all YOU have going on..mine is just pretty much moving forward and going well, that I much more want to hear about yours, and of course tea, cupcakes, and shoes LOLOL

OH..by the way..Amy and I were talking about ways to get out and meet more people. So, tonight I googled around and found some different groups meeting up in the area, a nightlife group that actually has a lot of day things going on that I signed up for, like a make your own pottery place day and a karaoke/bowling night (you KNOW I signed up for that). Then I signed up for another one that I dunno if I will actually go do, it's a board game one, and I LOVE board games, but sounds like the ones they do are more random than the ones I like. And then I signed up for a dining one trying different restaurants in my town and then a larger town nearby..SO..woo..

I'm kinda sad, there is a salsa dancing one that meets about 30-40 minutes away and meets on a Thurs night, so I couldn't sign up for that one due to my irregular work schedule..I wish there was ONE in my town..not the larger town :P

Business first: I thought you were splitting tax money with STBXH (you're right, that is long). Whose part is paying the lawyer? His part to pay his lawyer I hope.

I wasn't clear on where things stood with S12 meeting OW. Personally I'm glad you have a say and you're saying no. While you are still married it is not appropriate to imply to S12 that A is ok by taking him to meet OW. Blech.

This is not meant as a chastisement, but more of a gentle reminder. Dark means dark. Occasional random text messages are not dark. It's your call about how much contact to have, but I want you to be honest with yourself about it. From our convos in the alt I don't think you're having any problems detaching. It just reminds me of xBF saying, "but we were just bowling." And you know how I feel about that. Just tell it like it is.

Ok, onto the fun things.

Made the red velvet cupcakes today. SMW, I didn't have choc chips (only white choc) but they turned out very moist so no worries. And I even made the cream cheese frosting. I usually just buy a can. I had two(!) tonight and will give the rest away tomorrow. Very dangerous to keep in the house.

Did you find those activities through Meetup? They all sound like a lot of fun! I have been putting off volunteering and joining groups because I assumed I wouldn't be here for long. Maybe I can check out one or two things that don't require any commitment. Hah, now I'm the commitment-phobe! I say you absolutely should do the board game night. Finding new games is always fun, and if you don't like them then you don't have to go again. Have you ever played Bunco? I did a few times in AK with xBF's coworkers and it was a blast. I even hosted one night. But I had never done it before and wasn't sure I'd like it. I just agreed to go since I didn't know anyone within 1,000 miles and it turned out just fine.

OMG...there's a rooster in my yard!!!! How random is that??? And, the stray gray cat may just eat him!!! What excitement we have here.

Pearl..I think you may have misunderstood what I said about the texts..NO random texting at all is going on with STBXH..I had to text him about the taxes, yes we are splitting them in half and yes he is taking his part to pay for the lawyer stuff he's doing..at the end of THAT text he was like "have a good day"..LOL..I don't EVER initiate contact with him about anything more than having to do with S12 or about getting this sep agreement done and then had to let him know the tax money is there UNFORTUNATELY LOLOL..would've rather kept it Believe me, I am totally much HAPPIER being dark with STBXH!

{{{Pearl}}} YUMMY on the cupcakes, tho red velvet is not my favorite, AND you made homemade frosting..YUM!!! I DID find them thru meetup actually! I have played bunco online and would love to find someone who does that around here..
