I agree w/the memories still haunting you along the way. They still will for a while. It is funny, but it took me some time to get to the point that I no longer am "attracted" to XW when I see her. I've realized I find her to be physically attractive still, but when the looks are put w/the rest of the "package" she quickly becomes unappealing.
It, along w/all the other feelings, memories and emotions, take time to fade. They will fade for sure, but we will always have love for them in our hearts.

I am in the same boat w/moving into the apartment. It stinks to downsize for a lot of reasons, but there is something liberating about cleaning out your junk and clutter. Kind of helps you to feel more "free" of the past. I have the majority of my apartment done, but still need to sort through educational materials (may pitch them all, to be honest to save time at this stage - not sure) and do some things for taxes before I can have the final "part" of the apartment cleaned up.
