Sara, I know I am very cold and heartless in my dealings with him. It's a reaction to the amount of hurt he caused by cheating when he knew that was the one thing I would not abide. I just don't know how to be middle of the road. I'm afraid I will just lose it emotionally if he brings things up because I know he is still lying to me and I can't take any more disrespect.

Do you have any suggestions on how to handle myself so I don't end up cold or killing him?

And I would treat a friend differently if they did me a favor. But he's not my friend. Friends don't lie and treat each other with this level of disrespect. If they did, I wouldn't be their friend anymore and I have dropped friends in the past for just such behavior.
