Just keep swimming...PH #6

I know it's the weekend and not many people are around, but if you are I could use some help.

As you know, I'm in SF for the weekend. What I neglected to mention is that xBF is at the house watching the cats. I know it's not the best option but I couldn't get a hold of my cat sitter on such short notice so I had to ask xBF.

I think he will still be at the house when I arrive. I didn't tell him when I'm coming home but since I told him last week during the phone call that I expected him to show some effort, this may be it.

So I will be wearing a cute outfit (new jeans, sweater, purple shoes if the weather allows) but I'm not sure what to do or say. If he wants to have a R talk, how do I respond? (I certainly won't be starting that convo.) Should I engage in the talk or do I simply thank him for watching the cats and tell him he can leave now?

He is obviously not ready, willing, or able to fulfill my needs. I'm not going to wait around for him to do so. But the fact that I have doubts and feelings at all makes me wonder if I am truly ready to permanently and irrevocably leave him behind. Or am I ready and just missing the idea of him, of us?
