...and just because we discover the truth doesn't mean we necessarily adhere to it, wishfully thinking that she'll 'snap out of it' someday. It isn't, and won't be, easy for any of us, no matter how easy to read the signs are to us. We do, however, need to start living the life WE WANT to have from now on, not the one she wanted or created for us.
