Mel, Depending on how long you've been married, the law says you are entitled to some of his retirement anyway. So really he doesn't have a choice in this matter.

I think that's great! As long as you guys can work it out where you are both happy and take it slow. Stuff happens and if you can keep your family together you can work through all the other stuff. You just have to be willing to do so. He may surprise you on what he is willing to do. Just make sure you communicate your desires before you reconcile, if you do.
