Sounds like she is trying to conrtol the situation. You keep doing what you're doing. Call your daughter's phone, don't text your wife and document when you call your kids and they don't answer.
Wasn't your whole plan to get a job down here TO BE NEAR THE KIDS? Ok, if you get the job, then you're near the kids AND you get your foot in the door with the company but you continue to look around. There are lots of jobs here in the DFW area, you just have to look for them.
