Allright you guys now I gotta step into this.

Ladies you are not alone, not all men are like that. Remember in the movie When Harry met Sally, her faceless man fantasy? Well my wife swears that is true, so I set it up, had her put on a dress that I had made out of tissue paper and wait in the bedroom, I then came in with nothing on but a mask with no features that I made out of gray cardboard, and tore off the dress, I'll leave the rest to your imaginations. It was fun and funny, but the point is that I try to do things for her, but she doesn't do anything for me. Granted my mind is pretty warped but I bet she could come up with something. I have set up dinners, and movies and motels, never once has she done anything along those lines.

Hey YOU!!! How ya been?!

Once again, Jim, you bring in the much needed 'other perspective.' But I don't think we intended to man-bash here, so much as to say that it seems in relationships there is one partner who thinks they 'try harder' than the other.

Yes, you are correct in saying that 'unromantic' behavior is not limited to just men... I guess in every relationship, one brings to the table what the other seems to lack, hence that statement, opposites attract.

My H once overheard me say to a friend of mine that he wasn't very creative romantically... and he got really, really defensive. HE thinks he's wonderfully creative. But that was part of Honey's original point in saying that he thinks I'm the one to blame, I think he's the one to blame, and you get a real big stalemate.

I don't know what to do with the romance thing. I think my H is every bit as defensive in talking about that as I had been talking about our sex life. I'm as much 'romance' starved as my H was sex starved... except that we seem to be on the road to recovery with one, and still in deep denial about the other. My H is very reluctant to talk about anything that even remotely casts him in a less than favorable light, so if you have any suggestions on how I could broach the subject without all hell breaking loose, I'd love to hear it. You, too, HoneyPot!

The best conversations happen when you are drunk & naked.
Problem is remembering what was said the next day.

Think back to what worked before marriage...get him drunk and seduce him

p.s. whats the hell does C'est Moi mean?

Jim:

It takes one hell of a lot to get my H drunk. Don't know that I'd say I can throw back a few myself, but I don't know that I'm woman enough to do that.

Though it is an idea to bring it up during sex.

C'est Moi is french for This is me, or That's Me!

So get him stared earlier, and not during sex, but after round one, the naked sex talk is what makes rounds 2 and beyond possible!
