As I reread my previous post, it became obvious why I was not invited to go earlier - she needs her girl time with her friend. If I was there too, she wouldn't be able to talk freely to her... Hopefully, this all happens for a good reason. Another reason to act "as if" - because maybe in its own way it IS a good thing....!
