Interviews are like tests.... sometimes the ones we think we aced are our worst and the ones we think we flopped turn out the best!

You have a different perception than the interviewer!

If it is a big company it is highly unlikely she will contact anyone personally to ask about you. Sara is right - huge legal ramifications and usually left untouched

You should do more interviews. Send out applications and resumes for some jobs locally. Doesn't matter if you plan to go back home. The point is to get experience. I went 5 years without interviewing, my self esteem was low (see you may find this hard to believe but my wife dumped me) and was trying to look for work slightly out of my field. My first interview I acted like a lost boy, no confidence in my abilites, unable to relate my experience to anything and unable to embellish my major accomplishments.

What happens after every interview? You walk out thinking about the questions and how you could have answered them better... you're probablly doing it now, "Oh s%^$, I should have said this when she asked me that"

Practice, get experience and build your confidence. Don't let your personal struggle (my wife dumping me) change your oppinion of your job skills. They are two totally seperate things!!!!!!!!!!!
