Thats what I am afraid of. The competition is fierce and there are young guys out there with degrees fresh out of college whiz kids and there are others that have been doing it for years.
I wonder how long it would take me to learn those.

How long should I expect to take to learn c# and asp.net on my own studying part time at nights?

My current background is in developing databases in MS Access and queries and also using excel. I have used SQL as well and I have a very basic knowledge of SQl Server 2005. I was more of a reporting analyst. But I have to do better than that now. So I have been waivering between trying to learn SQL Server 2005 to the full extent or trying to learn C#/HTML/ASP.NET.
I don't have any programming. I don't know VB.NET.
So I am trying to gage how long I should expect it to take me and how much I really need to know to get up and moving in the programming if I go that route and try and learn it on my own.

Why are you apologizing to her and taking responsibility for her feelings? Why are you allowing her to blame you for her feelings?
Have you read NMMNG and Hold on to Your NUTS? It sounds like she has you pretty beaten down tbh. Don't you think you could do better than her?

It didn't really bother me. I'm used to it. Besides I am trying to get her assistance in getting a BA roll since she has the one that the agency originally came to me for and she has more knowledge than me now in it.
I gotta utilize my resources. And if that means I suck it up to get her help with this, I can do that. I'm trying to look out for my future now.

She started talking again afterwards and the rest of the conversation went pretty good. She asked how soon I was coming back and we talked a bit about the specifics for the roll I am looking to get. Then we talked about the kids.
Then I ended up ending the conversation and telling her I had to run. I told her to have a good night and she said the same for me.
But at least I ended the conversation.
