Yeah Jack. She could be broken in some way. Can you be broken at 19? You're barely called an adult.
She could just be young and not baked all the way yet and stroke his ego and make him feel good about himself. She probably gives him lots of sympathy for however he has spun this situation and lied about it to her. From what he's told her, I'm probably the evil b**** of Texas! So, I'm sure she makes him feel great. When you're 19, you don't have the expectations or hold them accountable for anything.
If I was nasty I would ask him if he pretends to be her dad when they go out so that she can have an adult beverage!!
Of course, I would not say that, only here, in the presence of "friends" !
