I so agree, hold onto that thought. I think it is good for the children too even if it is hard on us and sometimes a natural knee jerk re action to being left.

So, Alison, when do you think your divorce will be final? I too have decided to not date until I am divorced...even though I DID start dating---and met a very nice fellow. BUT we are both fairly religious and we felt weird that I was still married.

Anyhow, you need to do what you feel is right for YOU and whatever is a good example for your kids. You may find that later, when they are dating seriously, they will remember your example of waiting until your divorce was final to start dating again...I agree about house and yard chores being shared with a loved one is so much nicer!
