Wow what a lot to reply to.

First things first. Yes I did go out. It didn't promise to be a good evening as the pub where the social network group met was not lively and stunk as they had a collapsed drain. However a friend and I left early and went to a champagne bar where we eventually met up with another friend. If I say I staggered home you will know it ended up being a good night (even if a little expensive).

D13 got home after I left and according to my dad H picked her up at 10.45pm! She has only been back temporarily since. Stayed there last night and is there again tonight. Of course he won't be having her next weekend as it's his birthday and he and OW are going away (again) so it's not convenient.

My dad has been great. He has done so many jobs for me whilst he has been here bless him. He even got up at 6.30am this morning to drop me off at the station as my car was still not back. He then went and paid for the repairs on my behalf as I couldn't get back in time before they closed. I have paid him back but at least I was able to have my car back today.

As for the car................ don't get me started. They quoted me over £400 on Saturday. Today they rang back and said they had done what they had said but it still hadn't fixed things although the fault was now only showing as intermittent. They said if I wanted them to strip everything down and do it again I would have to pay ANOTHER £250. I told them I wasn't going to pay them twice for doing the same thing and that if it was only intermittent that would have to do for now. I'm furious now that I have the car back b/c it is far from intermittent, the problem is now happening far more frequently than when I took it in Tomorrow is they refuse to do anything without me paying more money I will be calling Trading Standards.

WB I understand what you are saying about distances but my dad is 70 and at that age 90 miles is a long way to drive especially when it's nearly all motorway and city centre driving. However there is no badger dragging around here So I won't be buying any of your patented gloves I'm afraid Naej!
