He should be able to set up automatic deposit through the state to your account. My guess is that he doesn't want to give up "control" and just chooses not to do it. Confer with your L as to what can be done regarding this. I would move this along as fast as possible if you are fine with everything.

I teied to call last night but you are just so busy! \:\) I will catch you later.

Oops, yeah. I made dinner and then the kids insisted on groceries b/c we were so low (no junk food)! I was feeling so low when I called you today. Then I was out brochuring everybody, and I swear I was in this one area and everyone had a religious sign. One was for a religious radio station, something like Have Faith, and some other type messages like that. Coincidence? \:\)

One of the offices I applied to a while back called for an interview Wed. am. Nice job, but I'm not getting excited or anything. They're sure to have a dozen people interviewing, although with this one, Admin Assistant 2, hopefully my degree/experience will be a good thing. And sitting in a sweet office job sounds so good right now after all the walking I've been doing!!!

Then when I called in the office I've been doing sales stuff for (doing brochures all over 2 towns and chatting up people that are in their yard), they said they've gotten tons of business from my working for them. Thought that was cool. I never thought I would like sales, but do, except for the hours of walking!

So I felt better by then. What's to stress about finding a house and moving in like 2 days--no biggie right??? Ok, still a little stressed. You guys that know about that kind of stuff, um, when they say they start foreclosure the 19th does that mean they will evict us that day do you think or will it take them a couple days or weeks hopefully?

Oh, H dropped by the check tonight and D9's favorite stuffed animal she left at his place! He stayed for less than a minute, just dropped it off and left. D9 told me while he was there she asked him if he had remembered to drop off the check??? I know H was prob. mad she knew about that, I hadn't made a big deal about it, but she picks up on stressful stuff like that and maybe worries her. I will try harder to not let her find out about this stuff! Karen

Oooooh, boy. How I know the feeling. I have to really watch what I say around my AS kid. S8 is a myna bird -- if he hears it, he can't help but repeat it. And his ears are sharp.

I emailed H last night to ask to see if he faxed the authorization form so I could talk to the mortgage company. He emails me back today: i thought it over and i am not sending it. First i am not sure what it even means from a legal standpoint. Second we have so many issues to work out this is just one more that can be dealt with at mediation once the kids are tested. I emailed back I think by mediation the foreclosure will have already happened so nothing to discuss at that point, and if he agreed the authorization I could find out by talking to the mortgage company how he would be affected by the bankruptcy. I said thanks for letting me know. (Do you think he knows I think he's a complete azz???) Karen

Oh my goodness, Karen. I called your ex a couple names, and I'm not even the one that has to deal with him. He is something else. He doesn't even have the human decency to care that you may be out of a home...not to mention his kids.....geesh

What an SOB, POS and PIA all wrapped into one!!!! I would really reconsider letting him drag you into bankruptcy with him. He isn't even trying to give you a chance to keep your home! Why help him out financially. So he files a Chapter 13 and has to make payments, his problem not yours. He makes me furious if you hadn't guessed.

The house next door to me is for sale...just a thought. \:\)

Sounds wonderful Kat! Yeah, wdid, obviously he doesn't care about me or the kids to do this, but I think he's even financially hurting himself by refusing to let me avoid the foreclosure. It's like he hates me so much he would even do that. I don't get it. I certainly won't sign on unless basically he pays me for that, like the car payment or something, that's what my L was working on. But he didn't want to do that. I won't be doing it out of the kindness of my heart; maybe it would be good for him to face consequences. But I think still today he is 100% blaming me for all this. Karen

I think I told you before my ex blames me for his B!!! It is my fault he had to pay child support, alimony and half the bills. But I have the house payment and half the bills, so with his B, he only makes tiny payment on the debt only in his name and the rest became mine to deal with. Most of the debt we had was in joint name!! Got to love their self centered thinking! NOT!!

If you aren't even on his debt, don't do it. Let him deal with it.

Karen, I would talk to your lawyer about playing more hardball at this point. "Being an ass" is one thing; endangering (or even discomfiting) your own children is something else.

There's GOTTA be some financial/legal shot across the bow your L could do a this point.
