I am lucky that I can pick up and move and never have to see or speak to xBF again. I know it's difficult for parents being connected to their exes forever through the kids.

It's normal for S12 to want to stay close to his dad and you're a great mom for keeping this in mind when making your plans. But remember, it's not forever. S12 will grow up and be on his own and you can always move to the beach then!
