I vote for continuing to follow Gucci's lead. Eventually, you'll be able to take a "You're no longer entitled to visit MY cats, nor get any answers about my comings-and-goings" stand, but now is not yet the time for that. You're still in "mystique-building" and ju-jitsu mode.
