As for the kitties thing..I'd be like WHAT in the world..I would think like you did..and did think like that when hub said he was in the house "doing me a favor checking on the cats" whatev while I was gone..IMHO..if he never really cared about them before, I wouldn't keep letting him do that..at least not without you present. I suppose the whether you let him and be there or not at all depends on if you WANT to be around him and see how he is?!
