I agree, don't try to figure out if you will take him back just for the kids. and besides, remember that love is a choice. He may not have those ooowie goowie feelings... but it's the choice to make a commitment to love, and when you start giving that love out, is when you start to feel love for a person.

and I am bummed too about F. but your right, she did get a lot of publicity because of what happened... and who knows what Paula may do? perhaps pull some strings for a record deal???

My H and I also e-mail back and forth several times a week. While sometimes I wish I heard from him more, I am thankful we have a steady line of communication.

SMW - Could use some other female perspectives on my thread. Can you send some of your good friends over? The guys are terrific, but I could use some females in the crowd.
Also, got the series today. Read the book this afternoon. Had to skip over the romance and sex chapters, as it was too much to bear. It wouldn't be welcomed now, and I'm just plain chicken. HOWEVER, the first half of the book was phenomenal. I'll do the first four exercises. You might be on to something!!
Task 1 - Let him know how lucky I am to have him. (He's home tomorrow night from working out of town. I'm just going to hug him and tell him I'm appreciative of his decision to stay in the house, no matter his intention, etc... Thankful to have him, if not for me, selfishly, but for our kids.)

When are you going to start your fast? I am having a hard time focusing and getting my mind right. The websites you showed me were great and will help out a lot. I tried to start Monday but have already failed. I want to do it right - so I am starting again. I am going to start Friday and go for 40 days with a daniel's fast.

Well, our steady line of communication is quickly dwindling, but I pretty much figured that would happen as it got closer to the end of deployment. I emailed a response to thank him for the birthday wishes and to let him know what we did. He has not responded to it--so no email since Sunday morning. It is cool, God is working.

I started it yesterday. All liquids until next Tuesday. I will do that until next Tuesday, then Wednesday start a Daniel. I will switch to liquids again the last week before Homecoming, with a water fast the day before the ship pulls in. It is not quite 40 days, but God knows what is in my heart and why I am doing this.
It went well. The headache I had right before church was a little rough, but two ibuprofen and it was gone. Lots of water and juice so I do not feel hungry.
it is not easy and the further you get in the harder it will get. I will not lie to you. The enemy does not want you to succeed and will do whatever it takes to stop you from achieving victory over his minions. Let God lead you and rest in Him when your resolve flags.
