I have so few friends... welcome aboard.

The recent warm weather (meaning 40F) has turned the construction site to a swampy muddy mess. But sheetrock and mudding are just about done. They'll be painting and startng detail work soon (hopefully!).

W feels awful and meds are only helping so-so. I've never been a cheerleader before, but I'm trying my best. Rah!

Peter..

Congratulations!

What an incredible journey. I'm so happy for you, your wife and your increasing family.

I remember being as sick as a dog while pregnant and being told that was a good sign. See if telling her that having so many years of pent up 'peters' made it a real whiz bang job! Uhh.. well.. I'm sure you'd find a better way of saying it!

Great to see you..

*hugs*

Not so much nausea today for W, just really no energy at all. We just rested at home. Swung by the construction - priming and painting, starting on the back deck. This week they're going to put in the basement slab (they've been thawing the ground). Kitchen cabinets in a week or so.

We are both really getting excited about moving in. Maybe in another couple of months.

Hey Peter..

It's good to hear that everything is moving along so well. I hope your wife feels better and better. What does your step daughter think of having a sibling?

She thinks it is great. She keeps referring to it as "our" baby. Very cute. She and W are in Florida with MIL, so I'm home alone. After work tomorrow, I'll head down to NYC to see D15's play. I'll break the big news to her (and my parents) this weekend. I wonder what her reaction will be.

So you never said how your parents and daughter reacted to your news. I hope they were/are as excited as you. Is your W dealing with all the changes ok? just lots of questions but no need to bog you down. I am so glad that things have been turning out well for you. \:\)

hugs, kat

My parents were surprised, but pleased. My mom said "I hope it's a boy, since you guys just have girls." D15 was pretty unemotional. Just said "oh", then changed the subject. W's nausea is slowly improving so hopefully she has gotten through the worst part of that.

Maybe your dauther is feeling as if she is being replaced, since the new baby will be with Dad all the time and she gets you so rarely it seems. Try to include her as much as she feels comfortable. Reassure her of her place in your heart. You are going to do fine.

I am glad your parents were /are happy for you.

Just wanted to bump this up and say hi. Those who don't know me have quite a ride tracing my steps. Not much to say here except for those fighting the good fight - divorce busted, new house built, baby on the way. Life is good. There ARE success stories out there

Your story was truely amazing - as I remember, it was like a day or so before the D was to be final that she changed her mind.
