Very light--I'm not sure but I think maybe 5 pounds.
I'm down--this is the third time I've happily begun an exercise program, only to run into some problem. The "alignment" problem seems to continue to cause problems. I've been to the doctor and I have some physical therapy exercises that I'm going to start up with again.
I think that this time, I'm going to pause and breath, do the PT exercises and try to get back to the bike rather than stop altogether. I was enjoying it and I felt good. I'll see how I am doing in a week or less.
I am honestly surprised that the knees hurt this much. This just isn't something I've run into before.
Breton, if you can afford it, get yourself a set of 10lb. 15 lb. and 20lb. dumbells. Wal-mart sells them pretty cheap. I don't think 5lb, weights are going to get you where you need to be. If you can get those, I can set you up on a program to tighen your muscles up. As for the knee, I strongly suggest seeing a DR. about that. If you are having problems on a stationary bike, it sounds like an ACL issue. That's not a good thing!
