I think you are 100% right. Your sister made a mistake, your wife has every right to be mad. But she's your sister and the other is your wife. You are in the middle and doing the right thing as far as I can see. My pediatrician said it the best to me as a new mommy, "Don't worry, they're pretty hard to kill."
