Oh poor thing! I totally remember the nausea, as I had it so bad I could not seem to keep my head out of the toilet with the last two. She completely has my sympathy!
A suggestion from a mommy that has BTDT. I had a lot of sinus problems when pregnant, especially in the winter. The drainage would upset my stomach so much that I was throwing up before I could even get something in my tummy. The doctor's solution, and one that really worked, was to drink about a cup of warm Coke or Pepsi with some saltines before getting up. She was specific that it be one of the dark colas, as the caramel syrup, combined with the carbonation, seemed to work differently than the clear sodas. Also, once she is able to eat better, a lot of small meals throughout the day. I never went more than two hours without eating. I lost weight with both those pregnancies, but it was a healthy weight loss. I always had granola bars, beef jerky, trail mix, and nuts in my purse or car. That was for a just in case I was out somewhere and I did not have time to eat a healthy meal. It really cut down on the fast food binges.
This will pass, then the fun parts begin--swollen ankles, not being able to tie her own shoes, frequent trips to the bathroom instead of sleeping---but, I still loved being pregnant for the most part. It was the prize at the end for all of my hard work that made it worth it!
I am so happy for both of you!
