I think I knew I liked you for a reason. I too believe in spiritalist mediums. I had a reading years and years ago that was too dead on about things to make me dare to believe otherwise. Do I think there are phonies, yes many but if you can find one who isn't, you are in for a whole bunch of stuff that is just wonderful.
Just remember there is still free will AND as you change and he changes, the outcome may change. But that is not a bad thing. It also doesn't mean don't do the work. We all still have to do the work. So pray for you, pray for H, pray for your M. They do get heard. God works in His time not ours.
Maybe since you are interested in spiritualism you should occupy some of your time learning more about it. Metaphysics on the whole. Very interesting and very enlightening. The church I attend is actually a spiritualist one. I get a lot out of the meditations and healings myself. And I've met a whole new circle of people that are just incredible.
If you focus on the past, you ruin the future. You can only live for today.
