K .. you're so funny (and brillian!) if that were me, it wouldnt have even got to 4 rings, neverlone him calling 4 times.. I would have done some kind of Olympic lunge across the table, grabbed my bag, violently shook it upside down to tip eveything out to look for my phone and would have been prostrate on my knees surrounded by lose change, makeup, used tissues etc and just managed to compose myself by the time I answered to nonchantly say "Hi... " But... at least he was persistent.

I am sorry you had such a bad night with the kids.. is that because they spent a long weekend with H and then they twigged that this is how its going to be from now on? Funny he paid yuo a compliment.. FOR GODS SAKE!!!! Last time you spoke he was talking about lawyers and divorce papers, but I guess that isnt what he really wants, deep down.
