{{{Son}}} yeah..it's totally great tho when they were little was great too. Actually tho, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this time/age with my kids, my daughter is someone I consider probably my BEST friend, who makes me laugh and is a LOT like me, totally gets me and I get her..all the while, of course, we have "grown up and her age" best friends too..and my son is GREAT..a total nut, a total teenage boy..into video games and music..but so funny and sweet!

Hi Tawnya - Yeah my kids are great to. nice to have young adults around and its nice that they understand for the most part what is going on. Means i dont have to stoop to his level at all . He is doing his own damage to the kids right now.
He will have to rebuild the relationship up and start apologising soon to them otherwise he will be a lonely old man !
I just took a look at the weather channel to see what the expectations are for the snow here tomorrow - thinking about whether to go to work or not- so they are showing the snow coming down in NC - it awesome! Lots of snow,k lots of wind.
Kassie..yep it just started to snow here about an hour ago..amazingly enough..right about as I decided I could not TAKE being in the house one more second after being here all day, I was just bored and needed a few things..so I WENT..and came back as quickly as I could..
Better for us who are NOT use to driving in the snow not to have to drive in the snow
It's really pretty tho..for us to get 6" is a miracle..which is what they are calling for..I know you northern and midwesterners scoff at that..but hey..it's like if Miami got snow ya know? LOL

Where I live we usually get the smallest amount, but this time we are predicted to get the most - 14" that will be crazy making here - def will not try to go to work. Check back with you in the morning to see how it goes.
We in TN got about an inch, some places more. Went to walk in the state park with the boys and the dog. Had great fun! By the time we got back to the car all the snow was gone!
aww {{Sam}} as of right now we are at 4" and still snowing pretty hard..we may make it to the 6" they were promising..I AM SHOCKED we actually got a decent covering for a change..it has been YEARS and YEARS!
It's funny..I always find it so peaceful and quiet in the snow..and I love to be the FIRST to walk on it..dunno why that is, I have a thing about firsts it seems LOL! My mom and I were talking about that..she had gotten a new book and I asked if she minded if I opened it and she was like "no why" and I said "in case you wanted to be the first to open it and read thru it"..dunno what that means in the big scheme of things..LOL..but I guess I like to the FIRST one to walk in the snow or the first one to glance thru a new book..which is weird cause I'm normally, as a rule, not the adventurous one to do things first, must be the snow making me all philosophical this evening

Well it turns out we ended up with about 4", it's just so pretty I have to say
But, on the "bad part of snow" side, I did have to go out and uncover the heat pump from the snow and ice the best I could, I heard it sound like it was struggling a bit earlier and figured I'd go out and help it out a bit

You got more snow than we did! The roads were covered with a layer of ice, though, so the kids went to school two hours late this morning. D9 is barely going to get there and it is going to be lunch time for her!
The wind is horrid! It was shaking the house all night long and i can still hear it roaring around the house now. It is almost as loud as when the jets are flying from the base. Stay warm and enjoy some cocoa inside. S3 and I are going to curl up on the sofa and just chill out for a little bit.

We have 6" and it is still coming down. Everything is closed - I get an extra day off on the company instead of me. H called to tell me because his boss is usually first to know and secondly, as another co worker called me - our boss is out of town so I doubt anyone would call us. He apologized because he had said he wouldn't call me for a month but knew I would want to know about work. That was it. Will probably just spend the day relaxing and staying warm.
