Wow....that does sound weird.

Where did you end up meeting? Did you go someplace, or did he just come by your house? How long did he stay?

Of course, it's futile to try to figure out what's going on in their minds, but did you get the feeling he had something important on his mind he wanted to discuss with you, but then chickened out? Kinda what it sounds like to me.

That is weird Trusting. Now in advance of meeting did he say he wanted to discuss anything with you or was it I just want to meet up?

I too agree, he may have had something on his mind and then decided not.

Who really knows with these mlc'ers.

First of all the guy was terrified, he was trembling.

He came to the house.

He had no eye contact.

He literally sprinted out of the house within a minute.

It was like he had to look at me and then go.

He did not tell me beforehand what he wanted to meet about.

I can't explain how bizare the whole thing was
I do feel he chickened out.

What is happening to you is everyone's nightmare. I am so sorry your kids are suffering and that you worry for their well being when they are with X. You are doing everything you can, giving your kids' tools to feel safe, while balancing X's crazies. Give him another chance to meet with you, maybe he'll get brave and reach out.

Trusting,

That's sad. Here is where you could text something like "Hope all is well" or "Nice to see you."

I think you got a touch-and-go here.

Breton, I like your idea of texting him...it shows compassion and empathy.

Trusting...hope all is well with you, you must be boggled !

There you go Trusting.

He took one look at you and chickened out with what he wanted to discuss. He is not ready yet. Probably all the regrets and guilt and everything bundled up inside decided to stay bundled up for now.

I agree you could always say something like h it was great to see you on saturday, sorry you didn't stay longer. Maybe we can meet up for coffee sometime. Love Trusting!

Thanks everyone for you input.

I don't know what to think.

However,

My wonderful son had the lead in his high school play today.

I am so proud.

Despite the fact that we did not share it as a family,

I am so blessed.

My family all came to help support me and keep my head up.

It is amazing all of this is going on and ex has nothing to say about it.

Did not see him and OW.

That also was a blessing in my day of joy..

Hope all is well with everyone.

Yes, I do remain baffled, but

it does not effect me for long.

I won't let it.
