One other thing...far be it for me to defend your H, but, and I cannot believe I am typing these words...attorneys can do as much harm as good in dissolution of marriage. I am experiencing this first hand. My attorney is a colleague of mine, I have worked with her on other cases, she is great and she is zealous in protecting me. Z's attorney is her friend. Z and I have each told our attorneys our divorce is amicable and that we plan to handle most of the negotiations on our own - and we have. He and I just hashed out alimony in a five minute telephone call. Then we each emailed our deal to our respective attorneys, with a blind copy to each other. Z's attorney's response to an extremely fair amount..."if that us what you want to pay her, I guess I won't get in your way." Remember, Z is an attorney. I doubt this would have been her response to a non-lawyer; she would have been more insistent that he pay less. Attorneys can ramp-up the negativity between the parties all the while trying to "protect" their clients' interests. It is their job and the nature of the beast and I do mean beast.
Extremely long-winded way of saying there may be an attorney behind your H's low-ball first offer. Sucks, I know. Why do you think I am looking at philosophy programs...
{{{V}}} yeah..I know that his lawyer is totally out to protect him and was balking at the amount he was already preparing to do or the bit he's doing now..so yeah..but he KNOWS what is in it, he looked it over, as far as I know..but you are right

So I had a really good day today!! Well first off I had to work today and it was CRAZYYYYYY busy..and HOW..like we had a 2 hour wait to be seen at the doctor's office I work at..which is really STRANGE for us..so the day did go by fast and we even had a patient bring us some lunch of homemade chicken and rice because they felt bad that we didn't close for lunch..which was very sweet
Then, my S12 and D18 went out to eat at this pizza place we have around here, I think they are around the country, but not sure??, called the Mellow Mushroom..some REALLY good pizza!! Anyway, we had an hour wait and at first I was like "okay this is gonna stink, son was complaining about the wait and I had been working all day", but then we had SUCH a good time, laughing like CRAZY during dinner and on the way to Starbucks and on the way home..I have not laughed so hard in so long..I love my kids LOLOLOL!! They are hilarious
AND..I have to say, one of the funniest parts of the evening was a point when we were waiting to eat. My daughter and I were both on our cell phones texting to our friends and I said to my son "do you want to text someone since it seems daughter and I are?" LOL and he was like "no..but you should see dad now, he texts like a teenage girl, like every 2 seconds"..okay..so that was so hilarious and unexpected that my daughter and I just looked at each other and busted out laughing! Also, think that's funny that son noticed that and even called his dad out on it LOL..but it was hilarious
Anyway..then I got to go to Starbucks and get my vanilla rooibus tea, so I was extra happy

It is wonderful to be able to spend time with your kids. Mine are out and about most of the time, but since the separation, much happier, and make it a point to talk to me at least once a day. I am still trying to get D driving, and S on his own two feet. But they have been been my salvation in life.
Hey, that is SO funny with the kids an texting. A bit close to my sitch as W txtd a guy 10 times a day before she left, but it just goes to show that kids really DO speak the truth!
{{{Kassie}}} well I'm so glad that your kids make a point to touch base with you daily..oh yeah..sometimes my kids have been so great in saving me from a pity party day back when this first started..I dunno if they'll ever know how much they helped me
{{{Silva}}} LOL..yeah it was pretty hilarious to hear that I have to say! Yea..weird how the teenager comes out when that stuff happens isn't it?? Tho..it's new and exciting and different for them I guess

Looks like a major winter storm headed your way. Possibly our only snow for the season. Hope you're safe and warm.
My H goes crazy with text messaging too. We still have a shared cell phone plan - I get the monthly bill and yes I check it to see what he's up to. I don't consider it snooping - more like tracking. One month he had over 250 text messages! Mostly to guess who? Teenager indeed. I will be sharing those cell phone bills with the mediator and H's L soon.
My ring is off now too. Sometimes I wear it on a chain as a necklace.
Stay warm.

Thanks for updating me about yourself too Silver and glad you are able to see those bills, my hub disconnected himself from that as quickly as possible, as he added himself to his OW's cell phone plan :P LOLOL..whatever

It's so cool to hear your descriptions of your time with your kids. While I'm not wishing my kids to grow up, I look forward to having that friendship like time with them. Mine are still little, so the majority of our time is playing Candyland and playdough. Still fun, just different.
I was glad to hear about your laughter. It really is the best medicine.
