W took kids to D9 basketball game after church I put out the cakes, card and present. Had everything set up for her and the kids to celebrate her birthday and close to the time I knew she would be back with the kids I left to run to the hardware store. When I came back the kids were finishing up their cake. I had a piece with some coffee, W stayed for a couple of minutes and then she was gone.
Post when you have time, Jeff, I always figure you are a bit busy with your kids and GALing and all that! I do love to get your updates though and know you are ok!
I think you did everything almost perfectly. Helping the kids to celebrate her birthday I think is a good idea, and I do that too. My only wish was that you had stayed at the store just a few minutes extra and skipped eating the piece of cake. I don't think you should personally have celebrated her birthday with her, she doesn't deserve it, although the plus to that is your kids prob. enjoyed that! Karen
