Thanks for telling me I'm being strong. Believe me, I felt anything but strong a couple months ago. I think it just took some time to realize I was living in fear of the unknown. Once I decided I wasn't going to let fear to continue to run my life I made up my mind to move forward, no matter what.
As I told my gf yesterday, I would rather be alone with my cat for the rest of my life than put up with the bs xBF has dumped on me lately. Life is too short!
