I do have relatives who divorced only to remarry later. Hey, it happens. Took both relatives years...but it did happen and both marriages were reportedly happier the 2nd time around... AND yes I think you did the right thing not to say much in front of the daughter. But it is not likely that you'll be in the car like that again, thank God. Um, in my relatives case, I know once my uncle ran into aunt at a family function he point blank asked her if she was happier and she said "not really" and they reconciled... they had had to remain in contact due to the kids lives. But it was 5 years...
Just wanted to remind you that it can happen.
