Amy, I have read your posts to others and have always found them filled with such honesty and wisdom and sometimes great jokes.
I just wanted to tell you that what you wrote here affected me. I have been feeling lost and empty and I was exploring the reasons why. I think a large part of it is that I have not felt close to God.
I like the idea of seeing and siezing opportunities that He puts before us. That may be a way for me to feel Him in my life.
So, thank you for this and for your wonderful advice and humor. You are respected so much on these boards.

I always found it was me.
That you are "exploring the reasons why" you feel lost and empty tells me you will find your footing before too long.
Because you have a willing spirit.
Shoot, that just made me remember something - you know in the Bible where it says "the meek shall inherit the earth"? Well, my Pastor was very much into word studies - back to the original language, etc... - and we studied that scripture one time and guess what we discovered "meek" meant?
