Settlement discussion is over..it went well..kids will stay with me on school nights and we will rotate every other weekend. She will get to pick them up from school twice a week and have them for dinner; but they come back home before bed. I can live with that.
I get the Volvo and she gets the Jimmy. Didn't really want that; but since I'm paying on the Volvo and it's in my name only it stays with me. Jimmy is paid for; but in the agreement, it comes back to me once she buys another vehicle. That, of course, is if it's worth anything at that time.
Overall, we agreed on most everything. I think it's fair to both of us and provides for the kids. No emotions involved; in fact, we went to lunch together afterward.
Two strange bits of info though..she told me that after our talks last night; she broke it off with OM. Said that my statement about her inability to work on herself while in the midst of a relationship with another man caused her to realize that he was preventing her from getting healthy. She said that he was upset about it; but understood. I thought that was strange and if it's true; remarkable. I still have reservations that it IS true. Time will tell.
She also told me that OM's mother called her a "terrible mother" because she didn't have custody of her kids. I was like "WOW!!" that was a piece of news that I'm sure had an effect on her R with OM. If he was still wanting her after that; he really is damaged.
That's the update. I'm in a good place and ready to do this.
