The things you say are the reason it is better to not jump into another relationship right away. You have learned so much about yourself and life since dealing with your divorce. It will continue, you will come to a peace, and then you will be ready for that new relationship coming your way.
Yep. Like I said I have made progress because I really did want to run up to the brides I would see and say that!! lol I didn't see the possibility of a happy ending.
I know I can do all the stuff I am doing because I have to. I did most everything when I was married too. I need to learn that guys (normal ones anyway) are okay being part of team and will work on the marriage and life with you. It doesn't have to be one person carrying the bulk of the load.
When I am ready, it will happen. I need to stop trying to convince myself that I am ready because I apparently am not.

Where are they? Where where? All the guys in my little town are in their 20s or 60s or married!!! I guess I'll have to travel to the big city to meet some!
I think you sound better all the time. I plan on telling myself I won't date for at least a couple months if not more after the D if I can help it. And then move really slowly. Maybe just work on friendship with men. I want to make sure the next one's a keeper, nice, faithful, all that stuff.
You have gotten burned, but do you think you've become a better person as a result? I think I've become stronger, more confident, more compassionate, etc. Haven't you also?
Yes, I have. I have become a better person by having something terrible happen to me. Who would have thought it? Certainly not me.
After I read whatdid's post it hit me...I am the one that isn't ready. I need to get past this hurdle and then focus on the next phase, no need to rush. If he likes me, he will be there.
