Thanks for the kind words everyone!

So we're walking around with silly grins on our faces, not believing how quickly we got pregnant. I was bracing for 6-12 months if at all. Trying not to tell everyone right away is hard, but I think a good idea, as you never know what might happen this early. She comes in contact with some things at work that she needs to stay away from, so the word will be out soon. I'll be going down to NYC in a few weeks to see D15 (fifteen!) in a play she is in. I plan to tell her the news then.

Sheet rock is all up at the house. Now the slow process of taping and mudding and sanding. We are both starting to get impatient about getting this done and moving in. The contractor is trying to keep things moving along, and a lot of the subcontractors don't have a lot of work right now so they are getting in pretty quickly to do their things. But he's still warning us we have a while to go still. We're hoping maybe in May.

It amazes me how quickly houses go up. I know it doesn't feel that way to you but with your weather, I think they are moving pretty quick.

I am so glad that things are working out for you all the way around. family=love and you are expanding yours. \:\)

hugs, kat

This chapter is full of nausea and fatigue (not me, W). Poor thing. Had to write her a script for nausea meds so she could get through the day. She is keeping her spirits up, but is jokingly accusing me of "doing this to her." Of course, I take full responsibility.

BTW, my presence in the alternate universe has changed. Look for me by my real name and location if you still have any interest.

Take Care All,
Peter/gForce

Oh poor thing! I totally remember the nausea, as I had it so bad I could not seem to keep my head out of the toilet with the last two. She completely has my sympathy!

A suggestion from a mommy that has BTDT. I had a lot of sinus problems when pregnant, especially in the winter. The drainage would upset my stomach so much that I was throwing up before I could even get something in my tummy. The doctor's solution, and one that really worked, was to drink about a cup of warm Coke or Pepsi with some saltines before getting up. She was specific that it be one of the dark colas, as the caramel syrup, combined with the carbonation, seemed to work differently than the clear sodas. Also, once she is able to eat better, a lot of small meals throughout the day. I never went more than two hours without eating. I lost weight with both those pregnancies, but it was a healthy weight loss. I always had granola bars, beef jerky, trail mix, and nuts in my purse or car. That was for a just in case I was out somewhere and I did not have time to eat a healthy meal. It really cut down on the fast food binges.

This will pass, then the fun parts begin--swollen ankles, not being able to tie her own shoes, frequent trips to the bathroom instead of sleeping---but, I still loved being pregnant for the most part. It was the prize at the end for all of my hard work that made it worth it!

I am so happy for both of you!

Living God's blessings with grace and dignity~

Ok I looked for you but are maybe spelling your last name wrong since it has been a while. Will you just invite me to be your friend?? Pretty please.

I know when I was pregnant with the 2nd and 4th, I had to take meds for 13 weeks since I was feeling so sick and miserable I couldn't function. then I had to wean myself off the meds or I would have a violently sick reaction, or so I was told.

I am thrilled for you both. Spring is right around the corner and your house will be done in no time. Any new pics? Talk to you soon.

hugs

kat
