My pov is that if you love her you can express it, but do it gently - and have the card signed by you and your daughters - do not go overboard, do not make an issue of it... and do not expect anything in return.
Realize it will very likely make her mad - in the short run.. If you marriage is will be over anyway - what more can it hurt ? It will at least show her you care about her. And more important than anything else - you followed your conviction and can feel good about your decision - regardless of how she reacts to it.
Get your daughters cards as well - and take them out to dinner.
I got my WAW a Valentine's "friends" card and put both my name and my D3's name on it. - I made sure I did not use the "Love" word.
