I had something similar....when my H gave me the ILYBNILY anymore speech, he was having an EA with the ow. The ow went away for 6 months to travel in Asia and Australia, in that time my H celebrated his 34th birthday...the ow sent him a present (quite big) by mail from Australia !!!! He came home that day, and proudly stood in the doorway saying...'look what ow sent me !!! Isn't that sweet ??' I nearly killed him !! (well, as a matter of speech). I cried and cried and told him it was SOOOOOOO insensitive of him to bring that thing to the house and I told him I didn't want it in here and to get rid of it !!! I remember H looked at me as if he was thinking...'what are you making a big deal about..?' But my heart was so damaged...as an MLC'er at the time, he really didn't realize the pain it had caused and the absurdity of him bringing that thing home to show off as a trophy !
What should I have done?
No idea, but I did what I felt right then and there.
