I've noticed that about myself too, sometimes it just feels good to get it out. Especially something that has been bothering you for some time and keeps bubbling back to the surface time after time. That means it is something important to you and you just need to let it out. It helps you keep peace of mind.
Mentally, I am getting to the same place as you: a place where it seems like I have made every effort I can think of and I have become a better person. I am independent, confident and I have fun in a lot of ways. I know that I WILL be happy again in my life, with her or without her. So this is who I really am.
I want to thank you for keeping the humor going BTW! Especially back when I was really down, it always helped to check in on your posts!

I told xBF why I thought we were meant to be together was that we were really silly together (well, we used to be) and that trumped all the other differences.
