Hope he comes along for the ride.

Oh Jack will love that "varmint eating" line if he reads your post, Mel! HAA!

Okay so a small update:

I was over at the house for a bit yesterday.
Just a casual visit - seeing D13, picking up my crock pot which I left over there last weekend and taking Jeff some labels that he'd asked me to get for him. Before I left I told him I needed to check my oil and transmission fluid and asked him for a rag. He came out to the car with me and while I was checking those he checked my wiper fluid hose and showed me why it hasn't been working for the last few weeks. We were walking back to the back porch afterwards and he said with a smile "thanks for the show". I didn't have a clue what he meant so I asked him. He said while I had been leaning over checking the fluids he'd been able to see right down my shirt. He was grinning his ass off, too. I was laughing and thanked him for noticing. He hasn't done anything like that in a while - as in years - and not even last year when I was over there in bathing suits laying out and such. So I guess that just further indicates the familiar comfort level we've come to since November when I spent that first weekend with him. His teasing was lighthearted & playful - you know, like normal, REAL couples might do...

The visit was brief as I had laundry to do and he and D13 were going to his parent's house for dinner. Later, I left a voicemail on his phone asking if D13 still had an active seasons pass for Busch Gardens. I said in the voicemail it was no big deal and we could talk about the reason I was asking later in the week. Well he got home and called - he said he didn't even listen to the whole message, he just decided to go ahead and call me back. So I told him the reason I'd asked was because I was thinking about he and I getting passes for ourselves (S16 has his own) and I told him I'd been searching concerts and found out .38 Special is coming to BG in May and I wanted us to go. He was all about that and even said he'd check with a buddy at work who can get us passes - I said that would be cool but I'd still like to get a season pass because it was something we could do with the kids (not that they would stay with us at their ages!). He thought that was a good idea. We talked a little longer and he asked me about two Rossington CDs he'd given me yesterday afternoon to listen to. We expressed our opinions on those and then I went to cut the conversation short because I didn't want to miss Kid Rock on the Grammys. He then started messing with me telling me one of the other channels was airing an old Skynyrd concert - he says I've become a full-fledged "Skynyrd head" since we went to the concert last month (I'm paranoid as hell they won't revamp the band and tour anymore after Billy Powell's death). Anyway, at first I thought he was serious and I told him I didn't care if I'd already seen it 14 times, to heck with Kid Rock - and I tried to make him tell me what channel but then I realized he was just teasing me. HE got a kick out of it and in all the screwing around I missed Kid Rock anyway - Grrrr. I guess it was worth it though. Since we were having fun and making mundane plans... \:\)

That's it for now!

Amy, don't you dare complain about mundane plans!!! I would settle for planning a trip to the grocery store. Life is all about mundane plans. That's where the good parts are, whether we recognize it or not!

Glad you had a good day!

Sounding good Amy!

Being a dinosaur myself, I saw .38 Special open for REO Speedwagon in 1981, in Terre Haute, Indiana!

OK, so I'm old......
