Hi Cinders,

Well, your post gave me hope. I had no problem living with H and sharing and accepting. But I guess in a new R you love somebody and everything is easier.

I just cannot imaging loving somebody again at my age. The guys who would be interested in me are so old!!! The problem is that guys at my age want a 10-15 years younger woman. Therefore, only the older ones are left "on the market". Anyway, I am not stressing about it.

Journaling:

Had another lovely and sunny day and went for a nice and long walk on the water front.

I would have things to do in the house but I don't feel like it.

I am quite tired today and will probably have an early night.

H wrote that he wants to get the D over with and not wait a few more months. I feel the same way. He also thanked me for the business matter I took care of.

Hi True !

I'd love to take a walk with you ....your walks always sound so colorful and glorious !

I too feel tired... I guess it's the winter weather ....grey, grey, wet, cold, grey, cold, wet, grey !

I'm enjoying life very much, and feel confident....I just hope nothing is round the corner waiting to ruin it...

Oh well...

I hope you went to bed early ! I'm watching a funny show, before going to sleep ! xx

Take care xxx

Hi Cinders,

I would also love to take you on my nice walks. We sure would have some fun. - I know how you feel about enjoying life and hoping nothing is round the corner waiting to ruin it!!! It happens so often.

I did not go to bed early yesterday after all. I was tired for a while and then I woke up again.

It was quite a nice day today and sunny for a bit, and I went yet for a short walk. The water was so calm that everything was mirrered in it. I also met a very friendly dog which came out of his garden to greet me and wanted to come for a walk with me.

I received some papers re D which H and I have to sign. I informed H because he was inquiring about it.

Imagine, I finally went to the Jazz concert with my GF in the evening. We had a good time.

Sorry TL that it sounds like D is proceeding, but maybe you are feeling that is best.

Jazz concert sounds nice. I too have been so tired. Don't know if everything is just catching up to me lately or the weather is just making me sleepy.

Take care of yourself.

HI, TL:

Your walks, your concerts, etc. all sound very colorful indeed.

How I wish we had some water around us. We have nothing but brown mountains and dirt and sand. And some rain today--we get excited about that as it does not happen very often.

Hi MWG,

The area I live in is indeed very colourful. I used to say that it is one of the nicest in the world.

H wrote that a certain sadness came over him when he signed the final paper for the D. Maybe he will come back when he is 80!!!! – He said that one has to laugh at life. H replied only one day after receiving my e-mail.

I am not sure yet what I will reply. - I am also very sad that he was not able to keep his promise he cave me on the wedding day.

I noticed that H has replied much faster lately. There was no need to reply so quickly because I did not ask him anything.

It was a grey day today and snow is forecast for tomorrow again. I went for a coffee to the restaurant on the waterfront but I was almost alone. Not many people come to where I live in winter since it is not very pleasant to go for walks. They usually go to the restaurant after they had a walk or hike.

I thought I might meet a GF today but she got ill yesterday.

Tomorrow I might see another GF.

Hi glamgirl,

My H wanted the D in the end although he wanted to give us a second chance last fall. But his committment was only half hearted and it did not work out.

Hi TL !

Just popping in, glad you've been out and about ! \:\)

Life has a way of surprising us....for me the surprise has been, how well I'm coping and how happy I am even though I am no longer WITH my H. \:\)

Hi Cinders,

Thanks for popping in. - I am happy that you are too - lucky you! - It seems that the nearer my D gets the sader I am! I can't imagine why but I guess it must be the feeling of the separation being final.

I had a nice day yesterday apart from having to clear the snow off the drive in the morning. I needed the car in the afternoon and although it was starting to rain the snow wouldn't have melted in time. Today was sunny in the morning but the weather "is already getting ready" for the next snow falls and heavy winds tomorrow!!!

Yesterday I went to a nearby town where I met a guy* I got to know through the Internet. We had a coffee and went for a nice walk in the town. Afterwards I met my GF and we went to a café where we chatted for a while.

from Vali's thread:
Goodness True! I hate the adage: you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your Prince Charming...but it is true...not that we are looking for that...but even to find a suitable man for dating is a feat unto itself!
Vali, I "kissed already a few frogs". How many more??? - Well, one was already a prince, but must have been a trickster or something, as I just did not trust him. The second one I did not even meet, as he found somebody else by the time I agreed to meet him. But he must be a person not really suitable for me. He described his dress code to me which is so different from mine. But he was writing in such a funny way which reminded me so much of my H when he was young. The third one was not a frog but a toad!

*)And the forth frog I just met yesterday (see above). He was pleasant, polite and well groomed and dressed but a bit boring. At least he says he has the same interests as I, but I don't think he could be more than just a friend. Of course, that could change but I don't think so at this stage.

I am in contact by e-mail with two other guys, so hopefully at least one of them will be fun to be with.
