It was very cool - I try not to be all "mystical" about stuff - some people will turn a gust of air into something. I'm an oddball - a strictly logical person with a very strong faith.
It was funny too - W called me 5 or 6 times today, I ignored. She finally texted me about watching kids after school Monday so she could go to a study group. (she always picks up from school). I said I would.
Then - on the 7th day of going black, and getting NO contact from her at all, she sent me the oddest text, let me break it down:
"Thank you! Your message on the voice mail is cheesy. Made me laugh. Tell the kids i love them. How were their games? Oh and tell them my hair is not red anymore :)"
THE BREAKDOWN: 1. "Thank you!" - Never thanks me for watching kids
2. "Your message on the voice mail is cheesy. Made me laugh." - Kids and I recorded a new voice mail because W had been on there, and she got on our voice mail remotely and erased the message with her voice. I recorded a new one saying it was our "family", and then me, D8, and S6 said our names - obviously without W's in there. And for W to say something positive about me/us is unheard of.
3. "How were their games?" She has never asked about their basketball/cheerleading games before. Funny - I used to text her about them, but now not!
4. "Oh and tell them my hair is not red anymore" When she started her MLC, one of the things she did was cut her hair super short and dye it this weird purply-red color. It was sort of how she had it cut before me. I don't know if it was a throw-back to that or what. But she is growing out her hair, and coloring it back - sort of odd.
(heh, before I get ahead of myself, of course, now maybe it's green!)
Anyway, it was a good day, took kids roller skating, then let them play at a friends.
Best thing of all - I didn't even respond to W's text. I did tell the kids what she said, but back to complete darkness.
