You will be giving new meaning to the word "empty nester" next year. Not only will your kids all be in college, but your H is gone too. Maybe your older daughter will move back in with you. That would make sense to me.
Congratulations to you and your DD, Yoyo. Did you mention which school is her first choice? (Is it close or will she be a distance away?) Just curious.
Hi NC, DD will be going to a college that is a little over an hour from our home, not too far, but not too close. Far enough to have independence, but close enough to come home if she needs to. Location really didn't play a factor in it. She likes the size and the atmosphere. As I mentioned before it's the same college I attended. It's sure changed since I was there! It's in Conway about 25 miles north of Little Rock.

The one named after Jimi ( ) or the state funded one?
Just kidding.
LOL, she's going to UCA. The "Jimi" one is quite expensive and scholarly. The ones that went there when I was in school were the ones that you saw in diners at 3:00 in the morning studying while everyone was else was there coming from parties. I should have followed their examples, the ones studying that is.

Hi L2, How are you and the boys? What's new in your life? Do you have a current thread? Is your oldest son still liking college? Please fill me in soon!
Hugs, Yoyo

Hi Yoyo, checking in with you also. Are you worried about your last child leaving the nest and H still out there?
That is one of my biggest fears. I am very independent but I do not like the idea of living alone as a divorced person.
Good your D is not going too far. My D15 even though she is a teenager is really a comfort to me at home. It is good to have someone to "take care of". take care. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Me 53 H 50 D16, D29 M 22 years bomb 7/08 INH - alien pod replaces H 8/08 - OW (direct report), I work there also bomb II - H moves 10/1 expose ow 10/22 D to be final 9-09
Hope, I will miss my DD immensely. We have become so close during all of this. She was 15 when H left, same age as your youngest DD. I am sad for myself, but so excited for her. Of course since she isn't too far away I can hop in the car and go see her and take her out to dinner. I'm sure cafeteria food and fast food will get old, that will be my excuse, LOL.
