Well looks like the sheriff came to town or some constable. I have been following the D online under Civil cases, and saw that Citation was approved to be served.
I look out the window just before 7 and see a strange car parked down the block (our street is very quiet with many empty lots in between).
Right before that I had called into work and said I was working home today. D15 had yet another migraine and left school early and was home. I told her don't be surprised if doorbell rings.
7:15 door bell rings - 4x - I don't answer. Shades all drawn in front of house. Car is now in front of house. They rang the doorbell in 15 minute intervals 3 more times. Then my phone rings at home...what a surprise it is H. They must have called him to say no one was answering. I don't answer.
Car leaves. I know they will be back and know I will have to answer at some point. H won't have me served at work because it will look bad for him. But I know that H and OW must be stewing about now wondering what happened to their "surprise visit from sheriff". Thank goodness for accessible public records.
I am not going to make this easy for him and delay this every way I can. I know I have 20 days after being served, so I will have my atty respond on the 20th day and not a day sooner.
It will be one month tomorrow since exposed at work, I have a backup plan to push that along which will be implemented.
Is it a full moon???

Well, I turned a bad morning into giggles. D15 and myself are acting out ways to answer the door with the sheriff. We are doing karate chops, hip hop dancing, all crazy scenarios. D and me are rolling over laughing about it.
It is a terrible time and this is not what I want but we are surviving this one day at a time. I know H and OW are miffed that their plan did not go off as planned.
Now in a bit if they don't come back we will go to the mall and get a dress for my D's dance for Valentines day.
Yoyo, WE both deserve so much more. They are missing out on great things -- especially the new and improved us! take care.

I like the ideas of ninjas or ninja turtles! I think when I actually decide to answer at some point, I will be laughing about all the ways to answer the door which should throw the sheriff.
I have a good neighbor in the back that I am thinking of putting my car over there tonight so when they ring the bell and d15 leaves for school they will see the garage is empty.
All this cloak and dagger stuff. I have been trying to get all kind of records if needed for D. I will not make it easy and use every delay tactic that I can think of so hopefully he will love bust with the Ow with the stress of it. Ow is pushing big time for this and H is following like a puppy dog.

So, how'd did it go last night? I think you need a wig, big sunglasses and a trenchcoat..oh and a funny accent! That'll throw them off but I bet eventually he'll get tired of that and serve you at work.
Yes my H is home and for the most part it's been pretty good. It is hard work but I am gratful we have the chance. I don't think we are "out of the woods" quite yet given recent developments.. but it is what it is.
You know I don't know which is worse...OW that encourages men to stay or go. My H OW at the end of their relationship told my H that she was willing to be on the side. She also from the sounds of it never encouraged him to leave me. So either way it sucks because she's still out there circling like a shark and every now and then she throws a piece of bait in the water to see if he will bite. Whatevah!!!

Today's events: So far quiet. Well maybe it had something to do that I left the house 1.5 hours earlier than normal! Then when I went to gym (regular schedule), I parked behind a building next to the gym...and the cloak and dagger goes on. I didn't use the wig but tucked my hair under my collar. Now I am going to leave work about an hour early and see if anyone is lurking in the parking lot...if not make a mad dash home to let the dog out and then pick up D15 who is staying later than usual at school for tutoring. Maybe they will show up tonight -- maybe not. I do know that the extra waiting has to be lovebusting for OW and H. I know my H is obsessing about "not finding me". I guess I must be their main topic of conversation. Oh well. If they can't serve me then they can't divorce me...
I don't want to do this for too long because then they can go to judge and say they can't find me. I am not sure if H will have me served at work because of the "scandal" of both of us working here. It won't be because he wants to spare me any embarrassment but to spare himself from questions.
Yoyo, I am holding my own. I hate this stuff. When your H served you how far along did you have to go with it? Did you have to pull all the financials and all that other stuff together? I dread the process. I am going to name it the "snail divorce process", I have patience and emotionally the longer the better. I had some friends when they got divorced they got to a point that they "just wanted it done" and had so many regrets. I will not be one of those people.
I pray that this D will turn into reconcillation in the end.
