Having done many loan closings, yes they will have questions about money being moved and just "appearing". But it's not a big deal if you/he has documentation about the money.

They wouldn't cancel the deal over this and this alone.

Thanks volleydog!! Glad someone who 'knows' this stuff could weigh in...

That is why I am wondering what is up....I asked H about his closing, he said he "didn't know" if it would happen on 1/30 last week. It wasn't until THAT day that he for sure said it wasn't happening...

Then I asked him Monday if he knew when the closing was. He said he "hadn't heard yet". I asked if his offer had been accepted, he said yes.

Well we have moved 9 times in 11 years and bought 5 houses. EVERY time, once the offer was accepted, we had the closing date set THEN. So I don't get how he could have a 'floating' closing date...He said his realtor 'thought' it would be this Friday now.

And as far as the loan thing goes, I get that they would wonder why money was moving around. But it would take him 30 seconds to say, "We moved here from K.C. seven months ago and we are in the process of moving our accounts from KC to Iowa". He has acted like it is a major dealbreaker. And for the money that just 'appeared', he has the check stub from the bonus check and it matches the amount in my new account to the penny.

Oh well, it really isn't my problem except that the sooner he has his house the sooner he can have the kids with him in the evenings and overnights. Right now he just comes to our house on his evenings.
