I may be off base here, and I haven't gone back in the archive to check all the history, but I just had a thought.......Does your W suffer from depression? Have you ever looked into that?
Some of how you describe her behavior stuck a chord with me, and I just wondered........something seems strange in your sitch.....She seems to feel "bombed" by you, and yet you are such a sweetie!! Something's not right about that....

Anyway, you threw a wrench into her plan. She was plodding along and you ruined it! I think she would have continued this way. Kinda sad, in a way, that she would be alright with that.
Life is too short. There should be more than plodding for everyone.
I hope you are ok. It will not all hit you until you tell the kids. When you do, I know you know to assure them of your love, that you still love their mom and that you will do whatever it takes to make it as easy as possible for them and that none of this is their fault.
Dear man, this all takes a lot of guts. But rest assured you hung in longer than most would have, you did everything you could, you acted with dignity and honor. And all of that matters.

(((((SC))))) If I was going to guess, I would say that she does not have depression. I think she does show signs of some "issues", I think there may be things in the past that I don't know about that she has never worked through. And, if I had to guess, she isn't going go.
I'm heading off to Lubbock this afternoon after C. My mom is there visiting her twin brother. Lola has the misfortune of living on the path.... not the most direct path, but not that far off it. So she is going to be subject to a visit. Poor woman.
