I don't think I have any special insight, skill, or knowledge. For those of you that helped me through the bomb and separation -- THANK YOU! For those of you I may not know and are continuing to fight for your marriages -- I think I can offer an example of hope.
For those of you that may not be familiar with my story - I thought my marriage was over, I was less than an hour from a court date that would have finalized it, and had plans move to a new city, new job, new life. But here I am. Here WE are. My loving, darling, beautiful wife and I. The odds are long and the challenges are difficult. But success is possible - in a restored marriage, or in a brighter new future yet undefined.
My heart goes out to everyone who is reading this, because we all know a pain that is difficult to imagine. But it isn't the end. It can be a new beginning.
You know how hard I was pulling from you, sometimes I think even when you didn't see it. I am so happy that things are working out and that you are moving forward together.
Much love to you both--

hey G, just found out it is 4b. Chemo I guess is once a week. They said without chemo she may only have maybe 2 months. So she said, I guess I am doing chemo. And it is Hodgkins. She is in the hospital in Birmingham, I guess the University. So I know it is bad. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.

Birmingham Alabama? I did my residency there. They have a top oncology program and I am sure she is getting the best of care. As difficult as everything seems, I would just say again that Hodgkins in young people can sometimes respond dramatically to treatment. I suspect after a period of therapy, they will repeat some testing to see what kind of affect the chemo is having. So sit tight and don't give up hope. ((((kat))))

Thanks. I really think they have bad timing when it comes to locking threads, they just look at the number. I look on the ST Jude web site and it shows a 90% cure rate but I don't know if that is for all stages or just the lower ones. I will sit tight but don't mind my fidgeting while I do.

Hey Peter..Ping1 has come back to the boards..he posted in Surviving..Your expertise is really needed on that thread..his W may be coming back...and thanks for looking at it..
I stopped by, but didn't have anything to add to the good posts already there. I hope things work out for him, one way or another...
I still think about where we were one year ago. V-day, wondering whether giving W a card was good DBing, and discovering a card W had sent to someone else.
This year - exchanging cards, having a family breakfast, checking out the house under construction, dinner and drinks with another couple, coming home and ML after putting SD9 to bed.
Oh, and finding out W is pregnant. Took a home test on VD. Boy, that didn't take long! Turn the page, next chapter...
