Oh, the other news is that my mom is going to be visiting her twin brother (who is not well, but just keeps going, anyway) in Lubbock at the end of the month through the beginning of next month. His wife had a knee replaced earlier this month, and their kids have tag-teamed helping out until then. It's a full day's drive over there, but I might take a few days and run over for a visit. It would be nice to take some kids along, but I'm not sure that will work out. Oh, well, there is a little time to plan that.
Lola! Going through El Paso only adds about an hour. If I leave one afternoon, I could break the drive into two days, which would not be a disaster, in one direction or the other!
